It’s easy to split curves in uMake, and there are a few different methods to help you do this. This video walks you through those methods to help you be able to split curves with more ease.
0:00:00.950,0:00:04.250 Splitting curves in uMake can be done in multiple ways. 0:00:04.250,0:00:08.559 The first and easiest is to simply draw two intersecting curves. 0:00:08.559,0:00:12.480 As long as the curves are on the same plane and intersect, they will automatically split 0:00:12.480,0:00:16.230 one another and you will have four curve segments. 0:00:16.230,0:00:21.030 If you need to intentionally split a curve at a specific spot, you can tap and hold on 0:00:21.030,0:00:26.180 a point along a curve where you want to split the curve, and create a sketch plane point. 0:00:26.180,0:00:30.230 Then simply sketch a small curve at the point. 0:00:30.230,0:00:34.770 This will split the main curve you want to cut. 0:00:34.770,0:00:40.090 One more way you can split a curve is to select a curve and enter into edit mode. 0:00:40.090,0:00:44.960 Then tap and hold until you see the option to 'split' the curve. 0:00:44.960,0:00:50.690 Tap split and the curve will now be split into two connected curves at this point. 0:00:50.690,0:00:53.519 Give each method a try so you know how each one works.
