You can create a surface from practically any curve in uMake using the extrude tool. This video shows you how you can work with the extrude tool in uMake.

0:00:01.620,0:00:08.250 uMake features a powerful extrusion tool that makes it easy to create surfaces out of curves. 0:00:08.250,0:00:11.740 To create an extruded surface first select a curve that you want to create 0:00:11.740,0:00:14.560 a surface from. 0:00:14.570,0:00:20.360 Then in the side menu, tap the ‘Extrude’ Option. 0:00:20.360,0:00:24.200 You will notice a point appear on the curve. 0:00:24.200,0:00:29.590 Tap and drag this point in the direction that you wish to create an extrusion. 0:00:29.590,0:00:34.960 You will notice that a surface is created as you create the extrusion. 0:00:34.960,0:00:39.449 On the side menu, you will notice a few options. 0:00:39.449,0:00:47.820 Two way will extrude a surface on both sides of the original curve, like this. 0:00:47.820,0:00:54.010 Wireframe will create surface but show the wireframe of that surface. 0:00:54.010,0:01:01.440 The third option is for ‘Along Path’ which we will cover in a separate video. 0:01:01.440,0:01:06.690 When you are done creating an extruded surface, simply tap the green check mark to exit the 0:01:06.690,0:01:09.090 extrude function. 0:01:09.090,0:01:13.830 Try creating a couple extruded surfaces to get a better feeling for how you can use this 0:01:13.830,0:01:15.160 tool as you create.
